The Seven Stars is located close to the Surrey village of Ripley, which lies 6 miles from Woking with easy access from the M25. The busy university city of Guildford is just 7 miles away.
Ripley was once an important coaching stop on the route from Portsmouth to London, with the characteristic curved High Street showing signs of this former life.
The village green contains one of the oldest cricket grounds in the country. Another Ripley claim to fame is that it is the birthplace of guitar legend Eric Clapton.
Nearby is the tranquil Wey Navigation, popular both for boating and for walkers.
